DESIGN

Volkswagen Polo design is one of the major attracting points for the customers.Sleek and stylish, .2013 Polo gets some changes to make the car look more sportier. Front head lamps get smoky effect with indicators integrated into them. Volkswagen Polo also gets the family grill which is two chrome lines with Volkswagen Logo in the middle.Volkswagen has given large fog lamps for Polo and also they are integrated into the bumper. It also gets large air dam for better cooling of the engine.On the side, Volkswagen has given new alloy wheels design. On the inside, Volkswagen Polo continues the strong build quality. When you close the door, you can hear that click sound which you only get from cars above  Rs. 20 lakhs. Body and panels are strong. Volkswagen has given 3-spoke multi function steering wheel with steering mounted controls on it. Steering wheel gives grip and feel of the car when you are on the road. Instrument looks clean and easy to read. Tachometer and speedometer are in analog. There is a d igital speedometer in the middle which gives time, average speed,average fuel efficiency,current fuel efficiency,distance to empty and outside temperature. 

Center console has integrated music system.This is Volkswagen international music system which is RCD 310 with 4 speakers. Now the music system also gets AUX Input. AC controls are placed below the music system. Quality,fit and finish is so high. One of the best in the segment. Space inside is a problem. Seats are good both front and rear. But rear legroom and head room is small. Also on the rear only 2 passengers can sit because of the center transmission tunnel. Interiors also lack features.

RIDE AND HANDLING

Volkswagen Polo is powered by 1.2 L 3-cylinder TDI engine which makes 75 PS @ 4200 RPM and 180 Nm @ 2000 RPM. When you start the engine you can hear the engine a lot. But compared to the older model, Volkswagen improved NVH levels a lot.There is turbo lag below 1500 RPM. Also after turbo kicking there is no violent rush of power. Every thing comes gently. Gears are not very high or low and are just perfect .But on highway you can maintain speed above 130 kmph easily. High speed stability is the best in the segment. 

Steering also gets sharp as the speed increases. On city speed steering is light.But when speed increases steering become heavy.Steering can be adjusted both rake and reach, which gives more comfort to the driver. Polo suspension is tuned well for India. On good and bad roads, Polo gives good ride quality.On ride and handling, Polo is the best. Now Volkswagen improved the ground clearance to 170 mm so you can ride through any terrain. On our drive, we got close to 18 kmpl fuel efficiency.To improve efficiency, Polo also gives a gear shift indicator. If you drive according to that you can get more than 20 kmpl on polo.

Volkswagen Polo comes with ABS, EBD and 2 Airbags. Volkswagen has also speed sensitive locks and steering. There are all manner of rumors concerning the next-generation C7 Chevrolet Corvette, with stories ranging from the possibility of a mid-engined platform to AWD powertrains and even the arrival of a dual-clutch version. Although there isn’t much substance to any of these rumors, an inside source has revealed to MotorAuthority.com that the new car will arrive in time for the 2013 model year. This puts its likely release date sometime in late 2012.
While there have been reports that development on the C7 Corvette had been put on hold indefinitely due to GM’s critical financial situation, two top level executives have previously commented on the project, suggesting that it is ongoing. In fact, GM is drawing on a global design team to get the lines of the new Vette right, and theres even talk about the 440-horsepower, 5.5-liter V-8 version of the next-gen GM small block that may lie under the hood. Assuming the Corvette says front-engined and draws its inspiration from the Stingray Concept (we think both are very likely), these renderings give us a good idea of what to expect.
Previous Corvette vehicle-line executive Tom Wallace has stated that GM was working on a future Corvette and that some changes to the current model are coming soon. He also acknowledged that CAFE regulations will play a role in determining the layout and hardware of the next-generation Corvette but stressed that it won’t kill the car. Unfortunately, Wallace’s retirement last year has lessened the credibility of his comments.
However, Ed Welburn, GMs product design head, has also revealed that the next ‘Vette will get a split rear window along with some other vintage styling cues.
This computer generated rendering gives us a preview of a possible design direction GM could take for its next Corvette, suggesting that the 50th Anniversary Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept seen in the movie Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen could be the inspiration for the car. Some of the elements carried over from the concept include the egg-crate grille, vertical slat headlights, side vents, and the jet-fighter glasshouse.
On the rumor side of things, a smaller, forced induction engine--most likely a supercharger, like the one found on the CTS-Vs LSA, not the ZR1s 638-horsepower LS9--is possible to help the car meet fuel economy targets. A dual-clutch gearbox has also been talked about, and would be the next logical step in keeping pace with the likes of Porsches 911 and Nissans GT-R.
Like the C6, which was an iterative development of the C5 before it, the C7 will likely be an incremental improvement and redesign of the already proven and fantastic Corvette platform. Dont expect anything radical, but do expect a seriously impressive performance package. The one caveat will be keeping an eye on price as more high-tech elements, materials and machinery get added to the car.

The Tesla Model S is a full-sized battery electric sedan in development by Tesla Motors. It is an electric car that was codenamed WhiteStar during research and preliminary development. It was announced in a press release on June 30, 2008.[1] The prototype vehicle was displayed at a press conference on March 26, 2009.[2]
Production for the retail market is expected to begin in early 2012,[3] with a base price of US$57,400. The base model will have a range of 160 miles (260 km) when fully charged, and a 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) acceleration of 5.6 seconds. There will also be larger battery packs available with ranges of 230 and 300 miles (370 and 480 km).[4] (The prices for the larger battery packs have not been announced yet.) Normal charging times will be 3 to 5 hours, depending on the battery capacity,[4] and a 45-minute QuickCharge will be possible when connected to a 480 V outlet. In addition, a battery swap will be possible in less than five minutes.[5]

Large 21-inch wheels sit at all four corners, giving the Model S a truly planted look.

Inside, the Model S’ interior is highlighted by a 17-inch touch screen. The large screen controls all of the vehicle’s radio, navigation and HVAC functions, and is also highly customizable. The Model S comes packed with 3G wireless internet and HD satellite radio.

In keeping with the Model S’ green theme, Tesla uses chrome-free vegetable tanned Italian leather on interior, and 100 percent recycled PET carpeting from Futuris. The Model S also sports a panoramic roof for added style.

Kia Motors released all-new, larger, more luxurious sedan named 2012 Kia K9. The model, from early sketches of officers was postponed and will debut in the Korean market first and then arrive in the United States and Europe. It is nice to finally see what the body of this car will look like and it seems that Kia is really focusing on making some slightly higher end models. It will supplement Kia’s lineup, adding a higher-priced, more prestigious model at the top.

The Kia K-9 will be a rear-drive sedan and it will be offered with V-6 engines, but not the Tau V-8 and probably not a four-cylinder engine. Kia has made known plans to develop a Genesis sister car, code named CH. This all new sedan will be riding on the same chassis that underpins the Hyundai Genesis sedan. While powertrains should be fairly similar to what is fou
nd in the Genesis sedan, there may also be a new, 4.0-liter V8 rated near 400hp. Hyundai’s new 8-speed transmission will also see duty in the K9. New K9 details are even suggesting the car shown in the illustrations and photos is a front-wheel drive vehicle, as opposed to the rear-wheel drive that is suspected based on the shared platform with the Hyundai Genesis.

Each brand will sell its own version with specific styling on a shared rear-wheel-drive platform with a Subaru-sourced horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine. Subaru has already confirmed U.S. sale for its entry, name to be determined. In an interview with Digg.com conducted in February 2010, Toyota USA President and CEO Jim Lentz confirmed the companys plans to produce an "affordable" sports car for the U.S. market. Lentz cited the Toyota FT-86 Concept shown at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show as "a joint-venture product between Subaru and Toyota...(that) will be coming to market." Both models are rumored to come in at under $20,000 and likely closer to $17,000 if the dollar/yen exchange rate doesnt go completely haywire.

The project was announced at a Tokyo press conference in April 2008. Toyota CEO Katsuaki Watanabe provided only broad-brush outlines, but pointedly noted, "We havent had a sports car for a long time. This is a long-awaited-for model." Thats no doubt code for the general rap that Toyota hasnt made "interesting" cars since it dropped the Celica and the mid-engine MR2 Spyder convertible back in 2005. The criticism evidently stung, as Toyota reportedly set up a study group to generate ideas for upping the brands cool factor with the all-important youth market. Thats one reason for this new compact sport coupe, which aims to deliver slick looks, tight handling, and great mpg, all at a budget-friendly price.

A second motivation for Toyota is furthering ties with Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries. Toyota was quick to replace General Motors as a Fuji "alliance partner" back in 2005, taking an 8.7 percent stake soon after the American company bailed. With that, Subaru began building midsize Toyota Camry sedans at its under-utilized plant in Lafayette, Indiana, a mutually successful endeavor that reportedly led to the joint-venture sports car. Toyota now plans to up its stake in Fuji to 16.5 percent (for a reported $311 million)--partly, some analysts believe, for access to Subarus signature expertise in horizontally opposed engines and all-wheel drive. In exchange, Subaru is getting rebadged versions of Toyota "K-class" minicars for a lucrative segment in the Japanese market where the smaller automaker has been a weak player.

So much for background. As for the car itself, the 2012 Toyota Celica--and its Subaru sister--is rumored to be a sloped-roof hatchback with a slightly larger footprint than the late front-drive Acura RSX coupe (known elsewhere as the Honda Integra). The 2012 Toyota RAV4 should carry over intact from the 2011 Toyota RAV4, with some new color choices a perhaps realignment of some equipment packages the only probable changes. Introduction of a special-edition model to mark the end of this RAV4 design generation is an outside possibility. The 2012 RAV4 will continue to battle the likes of the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape for sales leadership in the compact-crossover class. Unlike those rivals, however, the RAV4 is just large enough to accommodate a small third-row seat, making it one of the few in this class available with seven-passenger capacity. Although we aren’t expecting the next RAV4 to grow much in size, we expect it to adopt some styling cues from the Tundra pickup and FJ Cruiser SUV, giving Toyota’s lineup of trucks and SUVs a more uniform appearance. Despite giving the small SUV a more truck-ish appearance of an exterior spare tire, the RAV4 will retain that feature on some models.
