The other side of big multinational car companies

We love companies with sports divisions. BMW has the M division, Merc has the AMG, Audi with their RS, etc. These divisions are mainly responsible for the go faster cars they make. Not to mention they make them look cool too. Here are some of the best known, read on...

                                                                      BMW M

BMW cars are well known for their dynamic nature. Some of their cars are the best handlers in their respective segments. But what if BMW injected an extra dose of that fine tuning? The result is the M line of cars.
BMW M, also known as M-Technik or just "M" (for Motorsport) was initially created to facilitate BMW’s racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMWs vehicles portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMWs private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
According to BMW, M, they say, is the "most powerful alphabet".
Their first racing project was the outta-this-world looking 3.0 CSL, nicknamed the batmobile. It was a homologation special.

The first official m-badged car for sale was the m1, jointly developed with Lambhorghini, yes, that same very Italian comapany responsible for some of the scariest and most desirable cars on this planet!

BMW M3 vs. Audi RS4 vs. Merc C63 AMG

Then came the M3, statistically the most successful car in racing. Other models include the  supercar-masquerading-as-a-sedan m5, the beasty x5 m and x6 m, the scintillating z3 m and z1 m.

These cars were and are the master pieces of engineering brilliance.

Coming up next, Merc AMG and more!
