We finally heard from Mercedes-Benz on their all new 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe will come at US dealers in September.
The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe is the latest addition in German automaker’s ever-flourishing stable of AMG performance models and shares most of its hardware with the 2012 C63 AMG Sedan. The 2012 C63 AMG Sedan will debut in US this summer and will be having some tech upgrades and face-lift.
The power for both the C63 AMG models will come from the 6.2 ltr AMG-tuned V8 engine which will be generating maximum power of 451 horses and 443 lbs-ft of maximum torque. There also is an optional performance package available for the car, and it generates maximum output power of 481 horses. The top speed for the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe goes to 174 mph from 155mph, while the acceleration 0 to 60 comes to 4.3 secs from 4.4 seconds. Both the cars can also be had with AMG’s Speedshift MCT 7-speed gearbox.
The all new 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG will be having wider rear and front tracks, along with damper rates and stiffer spring, speed-responsive sport steering and a high
-performance braking system having perforated and ventilated discs. The new AMG Coupe will be riding on all new 18 in AMG alloy wheels, which here are painted in titanium gray having 255/35R18 rear tires and 235/40R18 front tires.The exterior body of the car has been dressed up with brand new rear and front aprons, clear-lens headlamps, a new grille, a “powerdome” hood, side sills and a deck lid spoiler.
The cabin of the car is equally more impressive, with a 3-dial AMG gauge cluster, a flattened sport steering wheel having paddle shifters and multifunction buttons, sport seats, which are available with a wide range of leather or a fresh breathable manmade fabric, and a wide range of piano-black lacquer, carbon fiber, wood accents, aluminum and trim.
