Next Generation Audi Q7 to be 350 Kgs Lighter

Audi is working on the next generation of Q7.One of the important areas Audi is developing is to reduce the weight of the big SUV.Audi Q7 is the Flag ship SUV from Audi.Next generation of Q7 will be 350 Kgms lighter than the current Generation.Next Generation Audi Q7 is build on the new Modular Longitudinal Matrix (MLM) Platform.Q7 will also share this platform for the Next generation Porsche Cayenne,Bentley continental and also the new SUV from Bentley.

Chassis of the next Generation Q7 has numbers of materials to reduce the weight.Such as Aluminum,steel and carbon fiber.This will reduce the bare body shell weight of Q7 around 200 kgm.Riveting and bonding techniques will be used for the construction of Q7.Further weight will be reduced in engine and transmissions area.Audi is also developing new models to expand the Q range.A new Coupe SUV which slots in between Q3 and Q5.Then there is another small Cross over SUV below Q3 which will be the Q1.Next Generation Audi Q7 is expected to be launched in 2014.

Next Generation Skoda Octavia to arrive in May 2013

Skoda will unveil the next generation Octavia this month.Skoda India is already working on plans to bring the next generation Octavia to India.Last generation Skoda Octavia arrived in India as Skoda Laura.And the previous generation still sold as Octavia.Now Skoda has taken the decision to introduce the Octavia name back.Next Generation Skoda Octavia looks bigger and spacious than the outgoing model.2013 Octavia will be the first Skoda product to be build on Volkswagens MQB platform.

Interior space of the Skoda Laura will be class leading.We can also expect Lots of features in the New Octavia.Next generation Skoda Octavia is around 4.65 m long and the boot space is enormous 590 L.Skoda has added new engines for the Octavia but we are not sure will they make to India.We will get 1.8 L TSI,1.4 L TSI and the 2.0 TDI.With new features and bigger space Skoda Octavia moves ahead of Laura and now sits below Skoda Superb.Next Generation Skoda Octavia arrives on May 2013 in India.

Ford to Launch Special Edition Figo on March 4
Ford has announced that a Special Edition Figo will be launched on March 4, to celebrate the third anniversary of the companys only hatchback in India. Figo is one among the best selling Ford in the country.

Ford introduced face-lifted Figo last year, The company is going to celebrate the success of the hatchback. As a result, the company has planned to launch a celebration edition of the Figo in New Delhi.
We are expecting some cosmetic changes on the celebration edition on both exterior and interior. But there are no mechanical changes to the Figo. It will continue the same 1.2-litre 75bhp petrol mill and the 1.4-litre 70bhp diesel mill. Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
